“Give ‘em hell, kid!”
Great chapter! Love the magazine stewardesses.
This was a really fun one to write. And, what better way to let George run wild than by imagining a few salty words from the cover of a magazine?
Love the imagination sequences of our MC - reminds me a little of Ben Driller’s secret life of Walter Mitty
Yes! I love that movie.
I want to see the movie!!!
Same! If you know anyone… 😉
George doesn't know how things will work out. Keep lying to give yourself time. Kathryn might have an epiphany of
understanding in the meantime. The photos of the stewardesses giving advice was an nice touch. Looking forward to their adventures in Mexico.
Thanks KC. Serious question: were the stewardess visions a bit far? Or, do you think they fit?
It fit for me. I took it as a metaphor for what was going on in George's mind. He spends a lot of time in there.
Definitely that. Thanks for the feedback.
"Oh the lies you could tell if only you try. And, oh boy, would he try."
You do what you have to do to survive, J. Right? I give this kid the benefit of the doubt. Great story.
Absolutely. It's the grasping, the trying to right the ship that allows for the lies. Incidentally, we might have been reading a bit of Dr. Seuss when I wrote this (Oh the thinks you can think).
