Stories in the Tiny Worlds Sketchbook are like a pencil sketch with words; loose, unrefined and not wholly a thing. But I like them and think there’s something here you might like, too.

Walter and Bennet stood back to back, weapons poised.
"Twenty paces?" Walter asked.
Leather squeaked. Muscles tensed.
"As agreed," Bennet replied, inhaling deeply.
Onlookers gawked from a safe distance, the dewy meadow silent but for two.
Honor was to be restored; the day of reckoning had arrived.

"Hush," she said, watching.
He blinked, sweat coming, lie detector bleeping.
“I - I ...” his voice trailed off.
The lines swayed in the wrong direction.
A collective gasp.
Not a clink, not a fork moved. The restaurant was still.
Her expression neutral, then reversing, gears grinding.
She closed the machine.
Three minutes in, a record.
There would be no second date.
I found both of these stories to be surprising and entertaining. #1 - I've heard of dueling banjos, now dueling accordions. Who chooses the songs? #2 - Tough date! Most men fib a bit to make an impression, don't ya know?
